A horse has been dead since Monday, the 28th of November, in the middle of a public road, in the industrial zone of Areal Gordo, in Faro, only today having been removed by the Dead Animal Corpse Collection System (SIRCA).

As for the fact that the animal had been at the site for two days, dead and rotting, in front of the FarMetais warehouses, the same municipal source said "it was due to a delay by the company hired by SIRCA to carry out the removal", once that the Chamber "could do nothing" because it was "the jurisdiction of the General Directorate of Food and Veterinary Medicine".
When the Sul Informação to the scene, one of the FarMetais employees was “indignant with the situation”, revealing that the Civil Protection “had already been called to the scene” to resolve the situation.
The GNR was also at the site, having placed a plastic tape fence around the perimeter, which, when our newspaper was there this morning, had already been torn off.
