A French tourist, who this morning had been injured on the sand, with a knee injury, was evacuated from Marinha beach (Lagoa) by sea by the Ferragudo lifeguard team.
The alert was given around 12:15 pm, but since it was not possible to evacuate the victim by land, the Porto captain and local commander of the Maritime Police of Portimão, who coordinated the operation, ordered the lifeguard to be followed, which arrived at the scene. by 12:44.
The 38-year-old woman was taken to Ferragudo's Salva-Vidas Station, where an INEM ambulance was located, which transported her to the Barlavento Algarvio Hospital Center.
In addition to the team from the ISN Lifesaving Station in Ferragudo, members of the Local Command of the Maritime Police of Portimão and of the Lagoa Firefighters were also present.
