The debut, in Portugal, of the French rider Gari Zoher, figure on the European stages of shows with free horses, excellent concerts and free daily tastings of the best wines of the Algarve and the country, are some of the highlights of this week at FATACIL, which takes place in Lagoon.
In addition to the first performance in Portugal by the French rider Gari Zoher, who works with the Lusitanian race, on Wednesday, the 24th, the FATACIL equestrian program continues with daily riding tests, at 21 pm, and with the equestrian show “Lagoa Cidade do Vinho 30”, on Thursday, the 2016th.
During the opening weekend, the large influx of public to the biggest fair of Crafts, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry in the Algarve led the organization to open more ticket offices, to match the increase in demand.
FATACIL started on the 19th of August and will liven up the evenings and nights in Lagoa until the 28th, with music, equestrian shows, exhibitions and gastronomy.
The quality of the music poster continues this week with Agir's performances today; Miguel Araújo, Tuesday; Quim Barreiros, on the 24th; Rita Guerra, on the 25th; Mickael Carreira, 26th; Ana Moura, on the 27th, and Rui Veloso, on the 28th.
The visibility of wines from the Lagoa region in the 2016 edition of FATACIL is also evident in the free wine tastings, which take place every day, after 18 pm. Wines from the Algarve and Alentejo regions have already been appreciated, followed from today by the regions of Dão, Douro, Bairrada, Vinhos Verdes, Setúbal and, on the 00th, Carcavelos, Colares and Bucelas.
The Lounge Space, inaugurated in this edition of FATACIL, and which hosts the «aMAR a TERRA», where it is possible to discover the most genuine things in the Algarve, from the “Flor de Sal” to honey, sausages and gastronomy, welcomes several workshops and gatherings throughout the week.
Today, tomorrow and Friday, it is possible to learn, at 19 pm, “A arte da Empreita”, which introduces the ancient technique of plaiting the palm, one of the main forms of handicraft in the Algarve and, on the 00th, Wednesday, it's time to satisfy your curiosity about algarvian recipes with a cooking demonstration at 24:19.
For the first time, tickets for FATACIL can also be purchased online, in three versions: individual, family and pass for the ten days of the event.
The individual ticket costs 3,50 euros, the family ticket (for 4 people) 12,50 euros and the ten-day pass 20 euros. Entry to FATACIL is free for children up to 12 years old.
Ten-day passes must be exchanged for a wristband, an operation that can be performed at the FATACIL secretariat on the premises.
