Pedro Torres, world champion of Working Equitation, and the Frenchman Gari Zoher, a great figure of high school, are the two headliners of the Fatacil Equestre 2016 program.
But these will be just two of the attractions of one of the sectors that has grown the most in recent years at Fatacil, which opens its doors on August 19th and can be visited until the 28th, in Lagoa.
Emídio Paias, responsible for the organization of the equestrian sector at Fatacil, points out that it is the first time that Gari Zhoer, a «French who works with the Portuguese race, has only performed on the biggest equestrian stages and that he will present a very different spectacle. used to see”, will perform in Portugal. Zhoer's shows are scheduled for the nights of 24th and 28th of August.
As for the Portuguese Pedro Torres, he will be performing in Lagoa, on the 26th and 27th, with the «Oxidado» horse, an exemplar of the Portuguese breed, for a live work riding lesson.
But Fatacil will also present the equestrian show dedicated to «Lagoa, Cidade do Vinho» (20th and 25th of August), while the program includes teaching, maneuverability and speed tests, in the area of work riding, as well as a modeling and gait competition, organized in conjunction with the Lusitano Horse Breeders Association, with a judge specialized in the breed.
On the other hand, it will also be possible to see, in action, a farrier (or steel technician) who usually goes to shoe horses in Brazil and Dubai, and who at Fatacil will take care of the hooves of a high school horse.
In addition to watching the various riding competitions, visitors to Fatacil can also visit the exhibition of around 70 Lusitanian horses or have their equestrian baptism, experiencing horseback riding for the first time.
