Jorge Botelho and José AmarelinhoThe launching ceremony of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Project of the Algarve will take place on the 25th of July, Monday, at 12:00 pm, at AMAL's headquarters, in Faro.  The event will be attended by the Assistant Secretary of State for Environment José Mendes. 

According to AMAL, «the An inter-municipal initiative, guided by the ultimate objective of contributing to a "Zero Carbon Region", intends to carry out a diagnosis of displacements in the region in order, based on the identified needs and opportunities, to be able to project the mobility of the future based on principles of universal access and sustainability in the adopted solutions».

The Intermunicipal Community adds that «the The work of thinking and planning how we are going to move in the future and how we can do it in a more efficient, inclusive and environment-friendly way, already involves more than fifty public and private organizations that transport or move Algarveans and visitors on a daily basis».

This Algarve's Sustainable Urban Mobility project is co-financed by CRESC Algarve 2020, under the Portugal 2020 programme.
