There are 21 stalls of local products, from fresh vegetables and vegetables to a wide variety of regional sweets. There will be no shortage of good cakes to taste and take to your family lunch. It will be on the morning of Easter Sunday, March 27, at Mercado de Querença.
But, in addition to the market, there will also be two activities: the trek along the trails of Cerro dos Negros and the Workshop Painting Easter Eggs.
The walk will start at 9:00 am, in the center of the village of Querença and will cover the slopes of Cerro dos Negros, crossing several water lines and allowing the participant to observe the existing natural elements. The activity is promoted by responsible tourism company Proactivetur. The walk is classified as difficult (10km) and the registration fee is 5 euros, with the offer of a BEQ – Barra Energética de Querença, to help regain strength.
In the children's themed workshop, each participant will paint their Easter egg with colored lime-based paints. It is a very creative and fun activity, ensured by the “Baroque – Cultural and Touristic Products”, which starts at 10:30 am and goes on for an hour and a half. Registration costs 3 euros.
The Querença Market takes place on the last Sunday of each month, between 10 am and 13 pm, at Largo da Igreja Matriz in Querença. It is an initiative of the Querença Project and the Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim and has the support of the Municipality of Loulé.
O Querença Project is a territorial intervention initiative that aims to contribute to the enhancement of natural and cultural resources in the Querença region, involving young entrepreneurs and creative people with ideas capable of energizing the territory and, at the same time, boosting job creation.
The Querença Project is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Loulé, the Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim and Proactivetur Lda. It has the support of the IEFP and CRIA – Regional Center for Innovation of the Algarve/University of Algarve .
