Adalberto Campos FernandesHealth Minister Adalberto Campos Fernandes will be in the Algarve tomorrow, Friday, for the presentation of the new Board of Directors of Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, who took office this Thursday, and to meet with the mayors of the Algarve Chambers. The program also includes a meeting as dean of the University of Algarve.

According to the Sul Informação, the member of the Government begins his tour with a visit to the Hospital of Faro, where, in addition to presenting the new administration of the Algarve hospitals, led by Joaquim Ramalho, will hold several meetings.

Then, Adalberto Campos Fernandes will go to the headquarters of AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve, where he will meet with the 16 mayors of the region. This meeting, revealed AMAL, will seek to "reflect and define real solutions for the health sector in the region", taking into account the "dislike and dissatisfaction with the constant lack of response that residents have been facing in various services of the Hospital Center of the Algarve» that the Algarve mayors have been demonstrating.

«Given the series of episodes that have been repeated in the spaces of the CHA, among which there is a lack of professionals, such as specialist doctors and nurses, as well as the inability to respond to the needs of users, AMAL requires a swift and coherent a response aimed at solving the diversity of problems that have affected the region and greatly harmed the Algarve population», adds the entity.

Another of the scheduled meetings, for tomorrow, will be between the minister of Health and the rector of the University of Algarve. At the center of the conversation should be the eventual creation of the Academic Health Community of the Algarve, which will bring together the CHA and the University of Algarve, which will be one of the intentions of the current Government.
