Emergency Hospital of Faro 2016_5Joaquim Grave Ramalho is, as of today, the new chairman of the Board of Directors of Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, replacing the controversial Pedro Nunes in that position.

The appointment of the new CHA Board of Directors has just been published today, in Diário da República, and results from the Resolution 6-B/2016 of the Council of Ministers, which “takes into effect from the date of its publication”.

The Resolution stresses that, «given that the current members of the Board of Directors of Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, EPE, ceased their mandates on December 31, 2015, it is necessary to appoint a new Board of Directors, to a term of three years, renewable up to a maximum of three consecutive renewals'.

Like Sul Informação had already advanced, the new chairman of the Board of CHA was, until now, the Director of the Contracting Department of ARS Algarve. The new head of hospitals in the Algarve has a degree in Business Management and Organization and, throughout his already long career, has held senior technical positions in different entities, in the Algarve, Lisbon and Alentejo, where he was born.

Joining Joaquim Ramalho as vocals are Helena dos Santos Leitão, Maria Teresa Machado Luciano, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, as clinical director, and Nuno Álvaro Murcho, as nurse director (see full resumes below).

In this way, the new CA will welcome the Minister of Health on the visit that the member of Government will make, this Friday, to the Hospital of Faro.
