The village of Amoreiras-Gare will receive, on March 12th, at 16 pm, a Encontro de Cante Alentejano. The initiative marks the 00th anniversary of the Grupo Coral Vozes Femininas and the 18th anniversary of the Grupo Musical Amoreirense. There will be a parade through the village streets and performance at the Social Center.
The Chamber of Odemira explains that “as in previous years, the two groups promote an afternoon of Cante Alentejano, inviting various choral and musical groups to join the party”.
For this year, were invited the Grupo Feminine Paz and Unity of Alcáçovas, the Choir Group of Casa do Povo in Vila Nova de Milfontes, the Coral Vozes de Casével Group, the Coral Vozes do Campo Branco Group in Cascais, the Musical Group and Instrumental of Pinhal Novo and the Instrumental Group Os Açordas.
The initiative is organized by the Association for the Development of Amoreiras-Gare (ADA) and by the Sports and Recreation Group of Amoreiras-Gare (GDRA), which have the support of the Municipality of Odemira and the Parish Council of S. Martinho das Amoreiras .
