From 11 to 13 and from 18 to 24 December the shopping center opens its doors and becomes a collaborative shopping space, where you can find a little of everything.

This is the second year in a row that the space, which has been closed for a long time, opens for a few days around Christmas. This is a project jointly promoted by the Palace of the Lieutenant, the Chamber of Faro, the association Ar Quente, the Cineclube, the University of Algarve and the association of merchants from Baixa de Faro.

It was about a year ago that the «Atrium – Baixa de Faro». "The idea is that the space is available for commercial and creative experiences, and that it can be a place where creators and brands can operate in beneficial conditions, enhancing a dynamic that makes the building's operation sustainable", explained, a year ago, the responsible for the Palace of Lieutenant Davide Alpestana.

At the time, the municipality of Faro, which, through the municipal company Ambifaro unblocked the possibility of its temporary use with the bank, which owns the space, revealed that «although this action is not intended to give a definitive solution to the Atrium, since the property is still on the market, this initiative is envisaged by the municipality. as an excellent way of giving life to a building and an area that fills the collective imagination of the people of Faro and which until now had no use of any kind, encouraging and supporting local creations».
