bonbons_figAnyone who wants to learn how to make fig bonbons now has an opportunity in the cooking demonstration, under the guidance of Fernando Romão, Manuela Horta and coordination of Patrícia Gonçalves (Municipal Museum technician), scheduled for Saturday, November 7th, between 10:00 am and at 16:30 pm, at the Municipal Museum of Tavira – Palácio da Galeria.

This is yet another activity promoted within the scope of the “Mediterranean Diet All Year” program, which aims at the same time to recover the tradition of the “saints” in the Algarve.

In the month of November, all over the region, the “Todos os Santos” period is celebrated, when fig bonbons, stuffed figs and stars, also known as “Santos” are made.

The activity, aimed at a maximum number of 20 participants, is aimed at the general public, and interested parties must register (free of charge) by November 05th.
