old bridge portimaoThe Municipality of Portimão has just clarified that «there is no provision for any traffic cut-off at the Rio Arade Road Bridge (old bridge), under the 2015 Sardine Festival».

Rumors and comments on social networks claimed that, due to Tony Carreira's concert tonight, at the opening of the festival, there would be a cut in the Ponte Velha and led many citizens to call the Portimão City Council, which denies such rumors.

«All accesses to the Festival will be working normally, and there may obviously be some momentary constraints on normal car circulation, as a result of the expected high number of people», adds a source from the municipality.

The Festival opens at 19pm, with Portuguese artist Tony Carreira as headliner, whose performance should start at 00pm.
