This is already a tradition in Portimão, where you can taste this delicacy, «finished fished and placed on the coals previously prepared by the specialists of the most traditional restaurants in Portimão», illustrated the Câmara de Portimão, which organizes the event.

To accompany it there is homemade bread, the typical Algarvian salad and, of course, baked potatoes. And so that everyone can go to the party, entry into the venue is free and there is a "festival dish", consisting of a slice of bread, four sardines, baked potato and Algarvian salad, which can be purchased at restaurants belonging to "a special price' during the five days.

Those who like to eat this delicacy from the sea on their plate, can purchase it in the restaurants À Ravessa, Meco, Peixarada, Forte e Feio, Zizá and Retiro do Peixe Assado.

For those who like more to eat only on bread, there are points of sale run by the local associations GEJUPCE and Boa Esperança next to the old market.

And since the festival visitor doesn't live only from sardines, there will be an exhibition area of regional arts and flavors in the open air between Jardim Bívar and Antiga Lota, where you can purchase handicrafts, jewelry, medronho brandy, sweets, snacks and many other products.
