From stand to stand, tasting the chorizo, black pudding, cake, or medronho, the Secretary of State for Local Administration got to know, this Saturday, the flavors that Monchique has to offer. Antonio Leitao Amaro he was the member of the Government present at the opening ceremony of the XXII Feira dos Enchidos and, judging by his good mood, he liked what he tried.

Desidério Silva, president of RTA, and Fernando Severino, regional director of Agriculture and Fisheries, were other guests at the opening ceremony, where Rui André claimed a solution for the slaughter of animals closer to Monchique, to help sausage producers in your activity.

Yesterday was also the day of the mayor to present the 1st Festival das Camelias, a new initiative that will take place on March 21st and 22nd.

The event will consist of an exhibition and camellia competition, a handicraft exhibition, workshops, a photography competition based on the theme, and the Camellia Route, which invites the discovery of this flower «in a natural environment, or in private gardens».

At night, the music animated the stage of the Feira dos Enchidos, with the performance of David Antunes & the Midnight Band and FF, as a guest.

For this afternoon, at 18 pm, David Carreira's concert is scheduled – a gift for women – which promises to fill the venue.
