Sandro William JunqueiraWriter Sandro William Junqueira will promote a Dramatic Expression workshop aimed at young people aged 8 to 14, on Saturday, at the Municipal Library of Silves.

The workshop starts at 15 pm and is part of the “Saturdays in the family” initiative.

This will be the first of a series of sessions with the same theme, which aim to "give young people the opportunity to experience the art of the stage, training diction, body posture and text interpretation, among other components of training an actor" . The following sessions take place on March 28th and May 30th.

«I believe that Dramatic Expression as a Theatrical platform is an essential instrument for a better understanding of what we are, what others are, the world and the times in which we live. It is a unique place of individual and social knowledge; of sharing and exchange; where we can, as actors and spectators, question ourselves, and what surrounds us, in order to build or transform. To find and amplify what defines us as human beings», considers Sandro William Junqueira.

More information about the initiative can be collected from the Municipal Library of Silves by calling 282 442 112 or by email [email protected].

About the Workshop:

The game is a privileged means of expression and learning that allows a great investment in the use of imagination. In this Workshop, the proposal of symbolic and fictional games will give young people the opportunity to play different roles and to put into practice all their motor, aesthetic, creative, intellectual and social behavior skills.

It is through the game, and the performance of these roles, that students will be able to enter the fictional world, of imagination, of make-believe.

Dramatic play allows the expression of individual and collective sensations or feelings. To do so, young people will thus appeal to different means of expression and discover their different potentials.
