OlhanenseThe Olhanense squad will advance with a notice of collective termination if they do not receive two months of wages until next Monday. The players met yesterday with Joaquim Evangelista, president of the Players Union, who said that there are players with three or four months of wages in arrears.

If notice is given, the club will have three days to pay the outstanding amount. If this doesn't happen, players can proceed to terminate the contract invoking just cause.

In a statement published on the official website, the SAD do Olhanense says it has learned «by the press of the meeting held today between the Professional Football Players Union and our players» and says that its position «has not changed in any way since the communicated on Saturday (the 17th) and which was transmitted to the squad by the administration».

In that communiqué, SAD assumes that "in fact we were not able to make the payments as we wanted last Thursday [January 15]" and says that "this situation is due to the delay in payments to Olhanense SAD within the scheduled deadlines".

The document also recalls that, in relation to the last season, «Olhanense SAD suffered a reduction in income of around 90%», but says it is «confident of rectifying this situation in the short term».
