Associação Grémio das Músicas will take advantage of the International Jazz Day celebration on April 30 (Wednesday) to prepare a "special program" at Teatro Lethes, in Faro. A day, in which space will be given to artists from the Algarve, who will help compose the different formations that will take the stage at 21 pm.

The opening act will be the «Low Tech Groove Trio», which brings together João Araújo (piano), Paulo Silva (bass) and Paulo Franco (drums), followed by «Nanook & Cathy Borges», with Nanook (vocals, guitar and harmonica) , Cathy Borges (vocals), Zé Eduardo (piano), Luís Henrique (bass) and Sónia “Little B” Cabrita (drums).

Then, the double bassist Zé Eduardo will perform solo, followed by «Ana Newton Quartet», composed by Ana Newton (vocals), Ricardo Coelho (piano), Luís Henrique (bass) and João Melro (drums).

In closing, there are «The Fried Fanekas Blues Band», by Pedro Pinto (vocals), Pedro Gil (guitar), Paulo Silva (bass) and Sónia “Little B” Cabrita (drums).

Tickets have a symbolic value of five euros and can be purchased at the Teatro Lethes ticket office before the start of the show, on the online ticketing site www.bilheteiraonline.pt, at FNAC, CTT and Worten. For reservations, call 289 878 908 on weekdays from 15 pm to 18 pm.
