The Municipality of Tavira is present at the Alimentária – International Food, Hotel and Technology Exhibition for the Food Industry, which takes place from April 14 to 17, at FIL - Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, as part of the Mediterranean Diet promotion stand.

Chamber president Jorge Botelho made a point of being present at the inauguration of the event by the minister of Agriculture, Planning and Environment Assunção Cristas.

The community of Tavira represents Portugal in the transnational application of the Mediterranean Diet for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as it maintains an ancestral intangible heritage that is still very much alive throughout the territory, diversity of cultural, maritime, rural and mountain landscapes, agricultural and fishing activities, above all, a markedly Mediterranean identity.

The space in question can be visited, until April 17, from 10:00 am to 19:00 pm.
