The president of the PS/Faro considers that "the statement sent today by Eng. Macário Correia to the media is just another delaying maneuver by someone who believes himself superior to the law and the courts and a repeated attempt at victimization and excuse, in a repeated attitude of disrespect by court decisions'.
Luís Graça underlines, in a statement, that “the ethically just Law is the Law of the Republic”.
This was the reaction of the Farenses socialists to the statement released today by Macário Correia and published on the autarchy's website, in which the president of the Chamber he says he has already been "acquainted with the clarification" who asked the Constitutional Court but will remain in office, "waiting for the full clarification of this strange case."
The PS/Faro adds that this party requested an Extraordinary Municipal Assembly that should take place on February 22nd for the presentation of a Motion of Censorship.
Luís Graça appeals “to all political forces with representation in that local body, including the PSD and the CDS-PP, to accompany the PS in the Motion of Censorship against Eng. Macário Correia, since in Democracy no one is above the law”.
