The ॐPsy Motionॐ event, promoted by students Ana Xavier and Verónica Ferreira, from the 12th N, finalists of the Events Course at Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School, took place on Saturday, between 21:00 pm and 6:00 am, at XL Bar, in Alvor.
Miguel M (with Dubstep and Drum and Bass), Kovak (with Psychadelic Trance), Dark Element (Live Act by DarkPsy), Neurocell (with Psy Trance) and Pika (with Hardtechno) were the DJs who performed throughout the night.
According to the promoters, "the goals were achieved, there was a lot of public support and a good atmosphere."
This type of party takes many more hours, reaching days, always with djs playing music. At these parties, people are communicative, they are there with the same objective, which is to have fun and dance freely», explain Ana Xavier and Verónica Ferreira.
«No one criticizes anyone, whoever likes this type of event treats the friend and even the stranger as family. The goal is to provide a good environment, whether for few or many people. The target audience is very broad», add the students.
This type of party usually takes place outdoors, but as the two young organizers of the event did not have «sufficient money for licenses, generators, infrastructure, among others», they had to opt for indoor. And it turned out to be better, due to the rain that had fallen and that could have spoiled the party if it had been outdoors.
In addition, they explain, “outdoor parties are usually far away, in the middle of fields, but many of the parents don't let their children go to these places. Having us defined a site accessible to everyone and easy to locate was an asset».
This party was part of the «SuperNova – Explosion of Events», an initiative of the students of the 12th N of the Technical Course on Event Organization at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School, in Portimão, which fits into the respective Pedagogical Aptitude Tests (PAP) . The projects are being presented throughout the month of May, ending this Wednesday, the 23rd, with a Futsal Tournament at the school.
