The logo that this year will represent the commemorations of the Ship-School Sagres is already known, to mark the 75 years of the launch of the ship and 50 years in the service of the Portuguese Navy, which resulted from a challenge launched to the public, on the day October 24, 2011.
From the assessment made to the more than 70 logos received, the Marine Jury chose as the winner the logo presented by Miguel António da Rocha e Silva.
Honorable mentions were also given to the works of Carlos Bruno Saramago Santos and Bruno Miguel Marques Martins.
The logo that was selected will be used by the Navy and the ship in all commemorative and protocol activities in which it is involved, including the 50/75th anniversary celebrations, the ship's participation in the Tall Ships Race regatta and in the Cadets instruction trip of the Escola Naval scheduled for 2012 (in national and foreign ports).
