Passengers awaiting flights at the Airport of Faro they are doing it outdoors, as the “provisional structure” promised by the Airport's management has not yet been assembled.

Airport Source Faro, contacted by Sul Informação, limited himself to saying that «the installation of the provisional structure is planned» and that «the processing is proceeding as planned».

ANA Aeroportos announced, in a statement, that these measures were taken after «the safety conditions of the Airport of Faro given the weather forecasts for today in this city, wind gusts in the order of 65 km to 100 km per hour are expected».

Passenger processing will thus be carried out from the Airport's P6 Car Park, where, as ANA guaranteed in a statement received at 11:46 am, "a temporary reception structure is set up".

Passengers will then be transported to the Bus Terminal Pier, where segregation, passenger check-in and security procedures will be carried out.

Processing, check-in and security and border control will be done at the Pier in designated rooms.

The airport has planned 122 movements and by 11:00 am, 28 departures have already taken place. 12 movements will be processed per hour (6 departures + 6 arrivals).

Double the time in the processing of passengers and delays in both departures and arrivals is expected, for which ANA Aeroportos de Portugal «regrets the inconvenience caused».
