The Pintor Samora Barros Art Gallery, in Albufeira, will receive the plastic artist Maria Passos Mealha, who presents her new exhibition of 17 pictorial works, “São Passos- Rainha da Cor”, which will be on display between the 5th and 30th of May.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 13:00 pm to 17:30 pm. In the 17 pictorial works, the artist shows her admiration for her African origins, more specifically for Mozambique, her homeland, and the importance of color.
«Each work presents a remarkable creativity and a mastery of abstract techniques together with the naive, characteristics based on the art of São Passos», says the Albufeira City Council in a statement.
According to journalist Inácio de Passos, this exhibition «promises to remain in the memory of all who visit it».
