Recital “Cantar Camões” celebrates Poetry Day at the Library of Faro

The activity will feature the presence of musician Eduardo Ramos.

The poetry recital “Cantar Camões” will mark, on March 21st, from 21pm, World Poetry Day, at the Municipal Library of Faro Antonio Ramos Rosa. 

The activity will feature the presence of musician Eduardo Ramos.

In the year in which the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Portuguese poet is celebrated, Eduardo Ramos will give a recital, in which he will sing the poetry of Luís Vaz de Camões, set to music by himself and will play several instruments: classical viola, Arabic lute, berimbau and quissanje.

He will be accompanied by actor Jorge Soares.

On this day, schools, at 10:00 am and 14:00 pm and families, at 18:00 pm, will have the opportunity to listen to the story “Gota e Pingo – Aventuras em Portugal”, with the presence of author Susana Jorge.

Throughout the week, the Library distributes “A Poem in exchange for a smile” to its readers and visitors.
