The president of the CDS-PP, Nuno Melo, stated today that “the AD won the legislative elections” on Sunday and the PS had “a resounding defeat” and was pleased that his party once again had parliamentary representation.
“With the data we have, we can say at this moment that the AD won the elections”, declared Nuno Melo, at the hotel in Lisbon where the election night of the PSD/CDS-PP/PPM coalition is taking place.
The president of the CDS-PP considered that “the PS had a resounding defeat, because it fell from an absolute majority to a result of less than 30%”, adding: “The PS lost the elections”.
