Algarve hotels are ready for Easter with special menus and packages

There are options in several parts of the Algarve

Easter is a festive time that always brings many people to the Algarve and, therefore, hotels in the region prepare thoroughly with menus and packages designed specifically for these days. 

In February, André Gomes, president of Algarve Tourism Region, had already revealed that reserve levels for this time of year were “above those seen in the same period last year”.

Also this Thursday, March 21st, the Portuguese Hotel Association announced that the Algarve is the region of the country with the highest booking rate for the Easter school holidays (65%) and expects to have an average occupancy rate of 76%, between March 23rd and April 7th.

But, for those who are still undecided about what to do, here are some options.

 

Pedralva village 

 

 

Na Pedralva village, located in the Vila do Bispo area, a special Easter package was developed, valid from 208 euros for two people, which includes one night's accommodation, breakfast for children and an Easter dinner, which includes entry , main course of fish or meat, dessert and drinks.

For the 31st of March, a lot of entertainment is planned with the traditional egg hunt, between 10 am and 00 am, as well as the opportunity to enjoy family bike rides.

As an additional gift for guests, a bottle of wine, a mini folar, almonds and the possibility of making early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability.

 

Algarve Race Resort 

 

 

No Algarve Race Resort, located next to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, children are especially welcome during the two-week Easter break, with the “kids free” offer.

Therefore, this hotel will offer the placement of a free extra bed in the rooms and breakfast for all children, in addition, in the apartments of this Algarve unit there will be an upgrade from T1 to T2 and breakfast will be offered to the most new ones in the reserves that include them.

On Saturday, March 30th, there will be face painting for children up to 12 years old and an egg hunt open to all guests.

This special offer from the Algarve Race Resort will be available from March 26th to April 7th, providing visitors with a truly unforgettable Easter in the south of Portugal.

 

Anantara Vilamoura 

 

 

No Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort, Easter can be celebrated with family programs or just as a couple.

At this five-star hotel, from the 29th to the 31st of March, families can join the revelry in the garden, where they will find a range of festive activities: face painting, balloon art, pastry making and crafts.

On Easter Saturday, the hotel will celebrate “Family Day” by the pool, a family party with delicacies, live music and fun, from 13pm to 00pm.

On Sunday, the Easter Bunny will lead children on an egg hunt through the resort's gardens.

At Anantara Lounge, afternoon tea will be served from 14pm to 00pm. For Easter dinner, Victoria serves a buffet lines Festive Easter classics with local dishes and international delicacies.

Available on March 31st, Easter Sunday, from 18pm to 00pm, (with live music from 21pm), the Victoria Easter buffet Prices start at 50 euros per adult and 25 euros for children (from 5 to 12 years old).

In addition to this family package, there are two more: the “An Intimate Easter Escape“, which is aimed at adults and couples with accommodation for two people, breakfast, two signature cocktails and a credit of 50 euros for dinner for two people at the RIA Restaurant, and the “Easter Fun for the Whole Family“, which includes accommodation, signature breakfast, all family activities and Easter dinner at the Victoria Restaurant.

The package "An Intimate Easter Escape” for adults has prices starting from 262.30 euros (for two people on a bed and breakfast basis) and for families it costs from 278.30 euros (for 2 people on a bed and breakfast basis).

 

Waterfall Wellness Resort

 

 

In Ponta da Piedade, it is possible to enjoy the Cascade Wellness Resort, which has an Easter program from Friday to Sunday (29th to 31st March) that includes dinner at the Senses restaurant with a menu of five moments (vegan option), activities for children, such as painting and egg hunts, cocktail celebrating Easter at the Lighthouse bar and offering a party.

Dinner at the Senses restaurant features “fine dining” suggestions with oysters, baeri caviar, barnacles and suckling pig.

Fermented cabbage patty and grain and cashew cornucopia with garlic and dill are the vegan options created by chef Diogo Pereira.

The second part of the meal, which are the starters, has tuna, prawn from the coast, 'Pata Negra', leek and root Glace and peanut Noisette.

The main dishes include Red Salmon and Carabineiro Açorda, Alentejo grass-fed lamb with couscous, mushrooms and mint and also Abrótea alhada, with salsify, lime, parsnip and ossetra.

In the vegan option, the garlic and coriander Açorda with cabbage and sprouts stands out; the Chestnuts with mushrooms, cashew cheese and za'atar and the Parsnips with almond beurre blanc, onion and vineyard couscous.

Before dessert, strawberries with basil and lime are served to cleanse the palate, followed by chocolate and caramel cake and almond ice cream.

The dinner menu costs 80 euros per person, with drinks included (Cascade selection), while the Easter Cocktail at the Lighthouse Bar costs 12 euros per person.

Monte Santo Resort

 

 

At Monte Santo Resort, located in Carvoeiro, the Easter season begins on the 28th and continues until the 2nd of April.

Chef Miguel Lourenço, with Alentejo roots, prepared several menus for these dates, including dinner. buffet lines Good Friday and Easter Sunday lunch.

All meals on the 29th and 31st of March also feature live music at the Aroma restaurant.

The Good Friday dinner menu consists of Cauliflower Soup and a variety of salads – Shrimp, Quinoa and Cod – to start the meal.

Moving on to the main dishes, there is grilled sirloin steak served with mushrooms, caramelized onion and red wine sauce; Baked leg of lamb served with baker's potatoes; Cod loins with cornbread and herbs and mushrooms stuffed with vegetables and vegan cheese take center stage at dinner.

Finally, Easter Almonds, Egg Pudding and Folar de Olhão are served.

Dinner costs 35 euros per person, drinks not included, and has a 50% discount for children aged 3 to 12.

As for the starter proposal for Easter Sunday lunch, two options are presented: roasted carrot cream with rosemary or sautéed shrimp with sweet and sour sauce.

For the main course, there will be monkfish with sautéed vegetables with almonds and seafood sauce, pork tenderloin with muscat sauce, sautéed mushrooms with asparagus and potatoes or, alternatively, for those who choose not to eat meat or fish, the Tofu marked on the plate, sautéed mushrooms with asparagus and roast potatoes.

The gastronomic experience ends with Pão de Ló de Ovar.

Lunch costs 31 euros per person, drinks not included, and a 50% discount for children aged 3 to 12.

 

NAU Hotels & Resorts 

 

Also in the NAU group hotels, there are several proposals. At the NAU Salgados Palace, Between March 27th and April 3rd, there is a double room package with breakfast buffet.

Depending on availability and 24-hour prior booking, you can also enjoy an AlgarExperience boat trip and a babysting (1 hour per child on a day of your choice, from Friday to Sunday, between 15pm and 00pm).

In addition, guests will have access to the SPA circuit, a cinema session with an animated film in the auditorium, an entertainment program for adults and children and even an Easter Brunch.

On March 31st, between 12pm and 00pm, the All in One restaurant opens its doors for an Easter Sunday Brunch, consisting of delicacies such as Octopus Pataniscas, Grilled Salmon, Grilled Veal Steak or the traditional Goat in the Oven . For desserts, you can opt for Pudding Abade Priscos, Pão de Ló, Natas do Céu or Rice Pudding with Caramelized Pineapple.

This package costs from 622 euros (five nights) in a double room with breakfast included.

No NAU Morgado Golf & Country Club, Located between the beaches of Portimão and the Monchique mountains, a minimum stay of two nights is mandatory (from 308 euros in a double room with breakfast) including the 30th of March.

 

 

During Saturday afternoon (the 30th), guests will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop of folares.

For dinner, Chef Pedro Monteiro prepares a delicious meal buffet lines with Cod à Lagareiro, showcooking of Lamb Chops, Kid and Roasted Suckling Pig.

The Folar de Olhão, Folar do Algarve, the Orange Pie and many other options invite you to finish the meal.

Those who do not book the Easter program can still buy dinner for 35 euros per person, drinks not included, – children up to 12 years old 17,50 euros – and will be able to participate in the workshop.

Also at Herdade dos Salgados, the NAU Salgados Dunas Suites created a program for everyone who wants to join the family.

The festivities begin on March 28th with a VIP “Flavors of the Algarve” treatment upon arrival.

Easter Sunday, March 31st, will begin with an egg hunt for resort for all children. After this activity, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy Brunch at the Bossa Nova restaurant, which includes Beef Cheek Wellington Steak, assorted Bowls, Salmon and Coleslaw Sliders and Gua Bao.

This three-night accommodation program (in a double room) with buffet breakfast included and other services costs from 615 euros.

 

 

Still in Albufeira, with a privileged view and direct access to São Rafael beach, the NAU São Rafael Atlântico will welcome guests with a cocktail welcome and a special VIP Easter treatment.

In addition, there is free access to the hotel's Spa circuit: with jacuzzi, lively pool (with chromotherapy, waterfall, float, sequential massages and countercurrent), sensation shower, Turkish bath, sauna, bucket of cold water and contrast shower. However, the main highlight is the musical performances on Friday and Saturday nights.

The two-night package (29th and 30th March) with breakfast included will start at 408 euros for a double room.

A few meters from São Rafael Beach, also in Albufeira, the NAU São Rafael Suites features an All inclusive package.

The package, with prices starting at 636 euros for two nights' accommodation with all inclusive, consists of a Welcome Drink, an egg hunt in each client's room, all meals and a buffet lines Easter themed on Sunday, from 12pm to 00:14pm.

 

Hilton vilamoura

 

 

Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf & Spa proposes, for the Easter weekend, a special package, with a minimum stay of two nights, which includes welcome drink at the bar, brunch on Easter Sunday and access to 7 Seven Spa and late check out until 14pm.

Families with children also have access to the fun Egg Hunt, taking place at the Paradise Club.

On Easter Sunday, the brunch It will be served between 13pm and 15pm, and the typical dishes of this season will be highlighted, with an innovative touch, such as roast leg of lamb with mint sauce or fresh cod baked with cornbread crust and aromatic herbs.

Still on the main dishes, the chef proposes fish and seafood stew, traditional roast suckling pig and grilled chicken medallions with piri-piri.

For dessert, there will be almond tart, Abade de Prisco pudding, chia pudding with mango, carob tart and Easter cake.

The two-night accommodation package (Friday and Saturday) with breakfast is available from 490 euros (double room) and brunch is priced at 50 euros per adult and 25 euros per child (between 6 and 12 years).

Drinks are included and include a selection of wines, fruit juices, flavored waters, coffees and teas.

 

Pine cliffs 

 

 

At Pine Cliffs, Easter is celebrated with lunch. The Jardim Colonial restaurant opens its doors to a brunch buffet which will be available between 13pm and 15:30pm. That same day, from 9:30 am, children are invited to participate in the traditional Egg Hunt that takes place at Tabu Garden.

In addition to a selection of salads, cheeses and charcuterie, an egg station and cold seafood, such as oysters, shrimp cooked with aioli sauce, stuffed crab and crayfish, among others, the traditional goat in the oven with new potatoes, turkey roll stuffed with alheira and grilled maminha, as meat options, and grilled octopus, codfish à Zé do Pipo and stuffed salmon as fish options.

For children, there will also be mini beef burgers, pizza of the day or grilled sea bass fillets, among other options.

Sweets will include Chocolate Cake, Abade de Priscos Pudding, Olhão Easter Folar, Orange Pie and Honey Cake, among other suggestions.

The lunch buffet lines Easter is available for 68 euros per adult with drinks included (water, juices, soft drinks and cafes), and 34 euros for children between 4 and 12 years old.

For 25 euros per person, a selection of wines, beers and sparkling wine can be included.

Quinta do Lago Resort 

 

 

Also the resort Quinta do Lago has prepared a program with several activities for these holidays.

Between the 24th of March and the 5th of April, the Sports Camps invite young golfers, between the ages of 2 and 13, to improve their professional skills.

Football fans can perfect their skills with a full week of training with specialized instructors and football legends. In this activity, they also receive complete equipment and a course completion medal. This is a partnership with Football Escapes, for young people between 5 and 15 years old.

For little dancers, the Dance Camp starts on March 25th, with styles ranging from Ballet ao hip hop. At the end, there will be a group performance. Children aged 8 to 13 can participate.

The Tennis Sports Court is also back, in the week of March 25th to April 5th, days of improving skills, building and confidence with programs adapted to the age and level of each child.

For the older ones, on Good Friday there is sunset vibes at Gigi's Bar, from 17pm to 00pm, with a special selection of drinks and live music played by Bruno Meyners' band.

On the 29th and 31st of March, The Magnolia Hotel has a program that includes movie night and popcorn, with two films ideal for the whole family.

 

 

The pre-Easter dinner will take place at Casa Velha. “A sua Casa Portuguesa” presents a traditional menu with live music.

On the 5th and 6th of April, Casa Velha hosts a Wine Festival, with options from all over the world. The festival starts at 18:30 pm, when canapés will be served. At 19:30 pm, participants are invited to embark on a gastronomic experience, where Portuguese wines will be combined with the cuisine of each region.

On the second day of the festival, there is a show, with a collection of large-sized bottles from around the world, ending with a dinner accompanied by the best wines.

On both days you will be able to enjoy live music, and a master sommelier will be present to explain the wines and the wine producers. This event is for adults only.

For Easter lunch, Casa do Lago will have live music from 13pm to 00pm.

Who prefers one brunch you can choose to visit Bovino SteakHouse, on March 31st or April 7th, with a variety of cocktails and dishes such as grilled steaks, burgers and fresh fish. There will also be fresh salads.

In addition to the gastronomic experience, there is live music on both days and inflatables, engaging games and face painting for children.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt could not be missed, on March 31st. The Driving Range next to KOKO in Quinta do Lago transforms into a magical land of balloons, face painting and fun games, where children can play.

Finally, on April 2nd, at The Shack there are also activities for children and live music for older people.

The stay will be at The Magnolia Hotel, with a very sweet offer.

Those who prefer something just for the family and for a longer stay can choose to stay in luxury villas or apartments through Clube da Quinta.

At Vilamoura Garden Hotel, the program includes a two-night accommodation package (Friday and Saturday) with brunch on Easter Sunday.

The meal includes starters, roasted lamb shank with aromatic herbs, sautéed greens and baker's potatoes and roast cod loin with shrimp and mushroom risotto, asparagus and arugula.

At W Algarve, also located in Albufeira, there will be no shortage of entertainment and relaxation, as well as culinary activities and adventures. With the whole family in mind, this hotel has prepared a set of activities that take place between the 28th and 31st of March.

From the 28th to the 31st of March, the youngest can enjoy the “Vibe Room”, designed for children to play and enjoy activities such as board games, ping-pong, table football, among others.

On the 28th there will also be “Sushi Omakase” – Market Kitchen, a sensorial experience where the chef's creativity is the center of attention, from 19pm to 23pm, for 45 euros per person, and “Viva Aperitivo” – Sea Sky, for lovers of Italian cuisine, where it will be possible to try three appetizers accompanied by a cocktail overlooking Armação de Pêra Bay (25 euros per person).

Anyone who wants to embark on a gastronomic journey through Asia, America and the Middle East, can choose to go to Sip@WET, in the pool area, and taste the options for this season, including tasty cocktails (from March 28th to 31st).

On this date, there is also the “Champagne Tasting” – Vino by Paper Moon, where the Master Sommelier W Algarve's specialist will present a selection of sparkling wines from Portugal, Spain, Italy and France (65 euros per person); o “Time for Classics” – W Lounge, daily, from 17:00 pm to 18:30 pm, at the W Lounge, where you can sample cocktails classics for 10 euros.

At “Punch & Groove” – W Lounge, there will also be free samples of signature ponchas. As the night progresses, there will be a party with a DJ.

On the 29th, those with a sweet tooth are invited to give free rein to their imagination with the “Time for Cupcakes” workshop, a cupcake decorating session, and to participate in “Cataplana Masters” – Market Kitchen, an experience with those who know all the secrets and tricks to learn how to make this typical Algarve dish (55 euros per person – tapas lunch, cataplana, Algarve wines and soft drinks included).

 

 

Wine lovers are waiting for a visit to Quinta dos Santos, followed by an exclusive dinner at Vino by Paper Moon, with live music, where flavors and melodies meet (95 euros per person).

From the 29th to the 31st of March, W Algarve invites you to taste the delicacies of “The Scandal Tea”, an unconventional twist on the traditional afternoon tea, where cocktails are served in teapots, accompanied by a selection of sweets (25 euros per person).

At “Easter Open Air” – Air, a matinee is expected (from 16pm to 00pm) which promises, one more year, to bring forward summer. The party takes place at AIR, an outdoor space on top of a cliff with panoramic views of the sea. Tickets can now be purchased here.

On March 30th, the “Pizzaiolo” activity takes place at Paper Moon, where participants are invited to indulge in the art of making pizza, with the “Pizzaiolo” experience, accompanied by a spritzer or an Italian wine (30 euros per person).

On that day, there is also an activity to learn how to make cocktails with ingredients found in nature (20 euros per person) and at dinner you can share a table with the Master Sommelier and enjoy a sensory journey, which introduces you to the best international wines (85 euros per person).

The Easter Brunch – Market Kitchen takes place from 13pm to 00pm, where seasonal flavors and culinary art come together with the A La Carte Menu. (March 15th and 00st, from 30pm to 31pm; 13 euros per person – includes soft drinks and coffee; 00 euros per person for the bottomless bar package, with unlimited service of sparkling wines, wines and cocktails for 15 minutes).

On Easter Sunday, the 31st, families and friends can take part in the “Egg Hunt”, with a meeting point at the picturesque Garden Fountain, at 13pm. There is also an Easter Brunch on this day.

At noon, there is a vermouth and aperitif experience (20 euros per person) at the W Lounge, where it will also be possible to dance to the taste of cocktails exclusive to the “W Lounge Series”.

 

White Shell Beach Villas 

 

 

At White Shell Beach Villas, the eco-resort located in the village of Porches, just a few steps from Carvoeiro beach, there will be a range of free activities to enjoy as a family.

On Saturday, March 30, guests will be able to enjoy yoga and zumba classes in the morning, followed by a cultural walk through the Nossa Senhora da Rocha area in the afternoon.

On Sunday, March 31st, there will be an egg hunt for children, interactive games, face painting and balloon modeling. Guests opting for stays with breakfast included will be able to count on children's breakfast being offered.
