The film cycle “Filmes que Contam Abril” will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution in the different parishes of the municipality of Silves, starting on the 27th of February and until October.
This is an initiative by the Chamber of Silves, part of the Celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the 25th of April, which aims to «promote a practical cultural decentralization among all parishes in the municipality».
The activity «aims to explore the theme of April 25th, the dictatorship before and after and the revolution, through various cinematographic recordings produced by Portuguese and foreign directors», according to the Chamber of Silves.
