Castro Marim has already started work on the conversion of green space at Quinta da Cerca

It is planned for that location to create a pedestrian circuit, a leisure and picnic area with tables and benches, as well as other urban furniture and fitness equipment.

Work has already begun to reconvert the green space at the entrance to the Quinta da Cerca urbanization, in Castro Marim.

It is planned for that location to create a pedestrian circuit, a leisure and picnic area with tables and benches, as well as other urban furniture and fitness equipment.

To contribute to combating the drought problem affecting the municipality of Castro Marim and the Algarve region, indigenous species will be planted and an irrigation system with telemetry management will be installed to reduce water consumption.

This new system allows for fully remote and automatic irrigation, through a management platform of controllers on the ground, making irrigation more efficient and rationalizing water consumption, with the lowest possible costs.

The inhabitants of the Quinta da Cerca urbanization and the municipality of Castro Marim will also have access to a domestic composting island, where they can place their bio-waste, as part of a campaign to raise awareness by the Municipality.
