Photogallery: “Green” and old-fashioned Christmas? It is in the Village of Parises

You can visit Parises in Christmas Village mode until January 6th

Excitement, enthusiasm and admiration were some of the feelings that marked the visitors who passed through the “Verde” Christmas Village in Parises this weekend.

It was in the heart of Serra do Caldeirão that everything was made by hand, in a traditional and homemade way. In an initiative by the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, the inhabitants and volunteers, visitors to the “Green” Christmas observed natural Christmas decorations with everything that nature gave, in the form of trains, animals or nativity scenes. Tree trunks were the protagonists when it came to choosing the material.

In the workshops, you learned how to make yeast doughnuts, Christmas wreaths or even a bean dinner in the wood oven. At the stalls, you could buy sweet potatoes, Algarve sweets and handicrafts.

In addition to the gastronomy, Rancho Folclórica Sambrasense added a lively touch to the party, capturing the attention of everyone who passed by.

Parises can be visited, in Christmas mode, until January 6th, Kings Day, although everyone is welcome throughout the year, as it is a different environment that many are not used to.
