Charolas take to the streets again in Tavira

Between the 1st and 7th of January

The Charolas take to the streets again in Tavira and fulfill a tradition, between the 1st and 7th of January, with songs and verses in praise of the Child God to celebrate the entry into the new year.

On day 1 it is possible to watch the songs at 14:30 pm at Largo da República, in Luz de Tavira, at 15 pm in front of the Cabanas Parish Council and at 00:17 pm at Casa do Povo da Conceição.

On the 5th there will be a meeting at 21pm at the Santo Estêvão Parish Council Hall.

Finally, on the 7th the meeting is at the XXXVII Charolas Festival “Cidade de Tavira”, at Mercado da Ribeira, at 15 pm, and at 00 pm at the Charolas Festival, at Casa do Povo de Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo.

In a note, the municipality also states that it recorded “the best moments of last year and produced three videos that
will be released, in due course, as a way of praising and thanking the dedication to this art that is part of the Mediterranean lifestyle».
