The Municipality of Portimão will host, between the 3rd and 5th of November, the U14 Portimão International Cup, one of the biggest grassroots football tournaments in the world.
This year, the tournament will feature more teams representing the world elite of grassroots football who will take to the “stage” at the Centro de Formação Major David Neto (Portimonense Sporting Clube Training Academy) and at Estádio da Restinga, located in Alvor.
The third edition of the U14 Portimão International Cup will have the participation of 28 teams, eight more than in 2022, from England, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, the United States of America, Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Spain, Ireland, Lithuania and Portugal, with emphasis on Liverpool, Juventus, Fiorentina, Parma, Betis de Seville, Crystal Palace, Derby County, Brondby, Los Angeles Galaxy or New York City FC, without forgetting Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Vitória Sport Clube, from Guimarães, Portimonense Sporting Clube and Grupo Desportivo e Recreativo Alvorense, among others.
Observers are also expected from many national and international clubs, who will follow the performance of the six hundred young international and national promises who will be on the field, supported by the technical squads, in an organization by Portimonense Sporting Clube and the company Live Adventure, with the support of Municipality of Portimão.
The event will attract all the attention when it comes to youth football, also bringing together many family members and friends of the players in Portimão.
GROUP A is made up of Liverpool FC (ENG), Los Angeles Galaxy (USA), Portimonense SC (POR), Brondby IF (DEN), SBV Excelsior Rotterdam (NED), FC Nõmme United (EST) and Progress Cantera (NED) .
In GROUP B there are Juventus (ITA), Real Bétis Balompié (SPA), Ado Den Haag (NED), Vitória SC (POR), Burton, Albion (ENG), MFS Budapest (HUNG) and FDS Finland (FIN).
Group C features Sporting CP (POR), Crystal Palace FC (ENG), Parma Calcio (ITA), Shamrock Rovers FC (IRE), Baltic FA (LUT), Football Ambitions (NED) and Selection Development YFC (ENG) .
Group D has SL Benfica (POR), ACF Fiorentina (ITA), New York City FC (USA), Derby County FC (ENG), Kolding IF (DEN), Soo On Top (NED) and GDR Alvorense ( PER).
