150 kilos of octopus were seized this Thursday, October 12th, during an inspection in Santa Luzia, municipality of Tavira.
During this action, «the members of the Maritime Police intercepted a vehicle with fish inside, in an irregular situation», says the National Maritime Authority.
The suspects were identified and the respective news report was “prepared”.
Of the total octopus seized, 45 kilos were donated to a Social Solidarity Institution, with the rest being sold at auction, with the amount going towards the process.
Five members of the Tavira Maritime Police Local Command were involved in this action, supported by two vehicles.
