Manuel Brito's funeral is this Sunday in Olhão

Manuel Brito died this Friday, September 1, at the age of 62, a victim of lung cancer.

The funeral of Manuel Brito, founder of the Algarve publishing house «Sul, Sol e Sal» and the solar boat company Sun Concept, will take place this Sunday, September 3rd, from 9:30 am, at the Church of Nossa Senhora da Soledade, in Olhão. 

The wake will begin at this time. The body will go, at 10:30 am, to the Municipal Cemetery of Olhão (old).

Born in Olhão on May 8, 1961, Manuel Lázaro Oliveira de Brito lived much of his life in Lisbon, where he made a career in the area of ​​financial auditing.

Graduated in Business Management, Instituto Superior de Línguas e Administração, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, manager of DFK & Associados, Society of Chartered Accountants, administrator of Brito Crisóstomo & Roque, Society of Chartered Accountants , among other positions in the area of ​​financial auditing.

In 2015, he decided to return to his Algarve origins, having founded the publishing house «Sul, Sol e Sal», which had a cultural mission to fulfill. As said in an interview with Sul Informação in November 2016, «our objective is to publish works that value Algarve culture and heritage and make the external view of the Algarve reinforced and stop being as negative as I think it is, after having lived more than 35 years in Lisbon ».
