Choque Frontal ao Vivo returns to Portimão and celebrates with Adiafa in Silves

Radio program enters its seventh year of existence

The Choque Frontal ao Vivo program will take place again at the Teatro Municipal de Portimão (TEMPO), from the 28th of September, but will also leave, for the first time in this municipality, to celebrate the band's 25 years of career in Silves “Adiafa”, on November 25th.

On its way to its seventh year of life, this Rádio Alvor program will bring artists Khiaro, Recante and Marc Noah, as well as radio host Inês Maria Meneses, to the small TEMPO auditorium.

On September 28th, at 21pm, Khiaro will take the stage, «an artist on the rise in the Portuguese music scene», according to the event organizers.

Khiaro's song “Aquelas Madrugadas” is part of the soundtrack of the TVI soap opera “Festa é Festa”, since the first series of this soap opera. Recently, the artist debuted the song “Sinais”, in a duet with João Pedro Pais.

On October 19th, TEMPO welcomes Inês Maria Meneses, author of the interview program “Fala com Ela”, first on Radar and currently on Antena 1. Also on Antena 1, she is on the program “PBX”, with Pedro Mexia, in a partnership with the newspaper Expresso, and, since 2008, on the program “O Amor É”, alongside psychiatrist Júlio Machado Vaz, with whom he published, in 2018, through Contraponto, a book with the same name.

That year, Abysmo had published the small book “Amores (Im)Possíveis”, with illustrations by Tiago Galo. In 2020, he published, first in an author's edition and then in Contraponto, “Caderno de Encargos Sentimentais”, now in its 6th edition. He has been writing chronicles since the end of 2020 at Público online.

On November 16th, Recante arrives, a band formed by Luís Caracinha and Maria João Jones «which starts from the traditional Alentejo songbook, in particular cante, to explore new sound approaches», namely the addition of the electronic universe to cante.

On November 25th, Choque Frontal ao Vivo takes a trip to Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves, to fulfill an old dream.

This is because the radio program, which has its home at TEMPO in Portimão, «has had the ambition, from the beginning, to take the concept to the entire Algarve region».

In 2023, a series of programs will begin in Silves, to be held in other Algarve cities, with the band “Adiafa”.

In this concert, in addition to 25 years of career, «new albums, two new members and the 21st anniversary of the release of their great success, “As Meninas da Ribeira do Sado” will be celebrated».

The year 2023 does not end without Choque Frontal ao Vivo returning to the small TEMPO Auditorium to welcome, on December 13th, Marc Noah, «the most recent revelation of music produced in the Algarve».

«After years of playing covers for tourists, without feeling fully fulfilled, Marc Noah began preparing his first album, already presented at the sold-out Cineteatro Louletano, at Loulé's White Night and at Festival F».

In 2024, the Alvor FM radio program, presented by Júlio Ferreira and Ricardo Coelho, celebrates its seventh anniversary «with lots of new features and a busy schedule until May, with surprising guests».
