StartUp Portimão celebrates 6 years with the presence of the Secretary of State for the Economy

Celebration takes place on the 10th of August

StartUp Portimão will celebrate its sixth anniversary on the 10th of August, with the presence of the Secretary of State for the Economy Pedro Cilínio.

After a meeting, at 15:00 pm, of the advisory board and partners of the business incubator of the Municipality of Portimão, there will be a six-year review at 16:30 pm, in the presence of businessmen, entrepreneurs and alumni, in addition to Paulo Pinheiro, CEO of Parkalgar/AIA, André Gomes, recently sworn in as president of the Algarve Tourism Region, José Apolinário, president of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, and Álvaro Bila, vice-president of the City Council from Portimao.

On the occasion, Luís Matos Martins (CEO of Território Criativos) will present the figures relating to the activity carried out over this period by the Portimonense incubator, operating since 2017 at the AIA – Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, located in Sítio do Escampadinho, parish of Mexilhoeira Grande.

At 17 pm, an «inspiring talk» is scheduled by Sara Bonixe, founder and manager of Portugal By Food, a community of Portuguese producers dedicated to making products in each region, in an effort to raise the level of food produced in the country and of the diffusion of a new collective conscience of consumption.

Shortly afterwards, the closing session takes place, with the presence of Pedro Cilínio, Secretary of State for the Economy, and Isilda Gomes, Mayor of Portimão, which will be followed by a visit to the premises of the local incubator and cocktail party.
