Bad first half dictates new defeat of Portimonense

The defeat is due, essentially, to the terrible first part of the alvinegros

Portimonense lost by 1-4 against Boavista in the 2nd round of the 19st Football League, played this Saturday, May XNUMXth, in Portimão.

After the rout suffered in the 1st round, when traveling to Gil Vicente, the Algarve tried to collect the first points of the championship.

But what is certain is that the start of the game couldn't have been worse. In the 6th minute, Relvas scored an own goal, after a poisonous cross by Morais.

Boavista would reach the second at 9'. Bozeník – one of the best on the chess side – shot to count, after a confusing shot in the Portimonense area.

The nightmare would intensify in the 22nd minute, with a new goal from Boavista, this time through Morais.

In the second part, the Algarve appear much better. Paulo Sérgio's substitutions, with Hélio and Formiga coming on, had an effect, but the essential thing was missing: the goal.

He could have appeared on several occasions, from Hélio, from Estrela, from Relvas, from Ronie, but the ball never entered João Gonçalves' goal.

The consolation goal would be reached in the 90th minute, by Ronnie Carrillo, but Boavista would also score again, at 90+4', by Vukotic,

The defeat is due, essentially, to the poor first half of the alvinegros.

On the next round, Portimonense will travel to Arouca, on the 26th, at 15:30 pm.
