The Farense coach says that the club feels «prepared for the difficulties» it will face in the game against Porto, which will be played this Sunday, August 20, at 18:00, at Estádio do Dragão.

«We know the strength that Porto has in its field and, therefore, what we are waiting for is many difficulties, but we will also try to solve them», said this Friday, August 18, José Mota, coach of Farense, at the preview press conference for the second game of this season.

Two days before taking the field with Porto – a team against which the Algarve have lost 24 in the 24 trips they have made there for the championship – José Mota stresses that it is necessary «to do everything very well» to achieve a good result.

“We know perfectly well what the statistics and history say. But it's also true that I can say that I've already won there with teams the size of Farense. What we have to do is all very well done. We understand the capabilities and qualities, both individually and as a team, that FC Porto has, and we try to be a very rigorous, very objective team and, fundamentally, a tough, aggressive team, with good intentions», he said.

After Farense had lost at home, against Casa Pia, by 3-0, the coach of the Algarve admits that Porto «is not the right opponent for us to try to bring a positive result, which involves victory», but guarantees that the team will do «everything that is within reach to have a successful game, where the concentration indices have to be at the maximum».

«We know that we are not going to dominate the game, but many times we can be rigorous, objective, and I hope that we have the intelligence to score goals, which is very important and difficult», added José Mota.

Marco Matias, a Farense player, admits that «the game will be difficult» and that «concentration is needed from the first to the last second», but guarantees that the team has studied the opponent and that they know «what they will find».

Regarding the previous defeat, the player says that the team is in a good state of mind and that the objective is «to always do more and better».

′′ Of course, losing a home game was not our goal, but it's a game that has passed. We tried to improve where we were less strong and the important thing now is the next game », he added.
