Vilamoura Marina received the award for “Best Portuguese Marina” for the 12th consecutive year at the Publituris Portugal Travel Awards gala, held on the 6th of July, at the Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel.
«It is an enormous pride to receive this award, not only because it recognizes that we are the best marina in Portugal, but also because it is awarded by a panel of judges specialized in tourism and the general public itself, taking into account the quality of the facilities and services provided», explains Isolete Correia, manager of Vilamoura World.
The distinction recognizes the high level of customer satisfaction at Marina de Vilamoura, the quality of the nautical services available, as well as the range of support equipment, recognizing the marina as an example of success.
This recognition comes after, in 2022, The Yacht Harbor Association distinguished, for the sixth time, Vilamoura as the best international marina of the year. This year, the marina became the first in Portugal to receive the 5 Gold Anchor Plantinum certification, the highest distinction awarded by this former association. Only 11 marinas worldwide hold this certification.
Vilamoura Marina was a pioneer in Portugal and occupies a leading position in the recreational boating scene, continuing to be the largest marina in the country, with 825 berths. In addition, it has a fully equipped shipyard and a professional sailing training centre. It is the stage for national and international events, such as regattas, training camps for Olympic sailing teams and the Marina de Vilamoura International Boat Show.
