Faro celebrated Children's Day at Jardim da Alameda

Inflatables, minigolf, a presentation by the PSP's Kinotechnical Team and much more. 2 children participated in the World Children's Day celebrations at Jardim da Alameda, in Faro.

From 9:00 am to 13:00 pm, everyone who took part in this initiative was able to enjoy numerous activities, promoted by the Portuguese Red Cross, Volunteer Firefighters, Sapador Firefighters, INEM, Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries, School Health – care unit in the community of Faro, Civil Protection, Professional School D. Francisco Gomes D'Avelar – Santa Casa da Misericórdia, GNR and Maritime Police.

The Centro de Ciência Viva do Algarve put into practice various scientific activities and, in terms of the environment, the Ria Formosa Natural Park developed the game “Discovering the Chameleon”.

As for NEMed-AAAUAlg, it presented the “Hospital dos Pequenitos” project.

The Sports Division promoted several traditional games, São Pedro Futsal Clube de Faro a Futsal Tournament, AXAL – Chess Academy of the Algarve, chess games and the Technical Course on Organization of Events by ESPROSA and Ginásio Clube Farense the “Jogo da Glória”.

There was still time for the presentation of two books: FAGAR presented the new adventure of the Farrobinhas, entitled “The Mysterious Talisman” and the Educational Service of the Municipal Library presented “Lura, our place”, by the writer Sara Braz Vítor.

Rogério Bacalhau, president of the Chamber of Faro, visited the space and highlighted the «importance of promoting in the new generations a taste for discovery and also the time to play, during which the little ones apply and develop skills as diverse as motor coordination, socialization, solidarity and creativity”.
