The Municipal Library of Faro Two new activities are underway at the Pediatrics Service of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA) and at the Prison of Faro.
At CHUA's Pediatrics Service, the activity “The Library Passed by Here” is held every month.
«Technicians from this municipal space propose fun activities to hospitalized children, telling stories and interacting with them, through dynamics that alleviate the natural difficulties of hospitalization. They also propose readings and the loan of books», says the Chamber of Deputies. Faro.
At the Prison Faro the activity “Free Readings” is in progress. Here, the Library's technicians are with the inmates every two weeks, providing them with various actions to promote reading and book lending, according to their preferences and interests.
Magazines are available weekly.
Both actions take place within the scope of the “Library Outside the Doors” programme.
