Noélia Jerónimo invites Lídia Braz to a special lunch in Cabanas de Tavira

“From Trás-os-Montes to the Algarve” is a lunch created by the two chefs with eight moments

On Monday the 15th of May there is a very special lunch in Cabanas, where the restaurant led by Chef Noélia Jerónimo is located. On that day, the “cook of chefs”, as Noélia Jerónimo became known, receives chef and friend Lídia Braz at her home.

“From Trás-os-Montes to the Algarve” is a lunch created by the two chefs with eight moments that pays homage to the roots and origins of the two chefs and that brings together flavors from the Trás-os-Montes and Algarve regions, at both ends of the country.

What will happen is a fusion of knowledge and flavors between Trás-os-Montes cuisine and Algarve recipes. O pairing of wines has the signature of Decante and will certainly be a lunch full of “flavor, flavor, flavor”.

The only problem is that the places for this lunch… are already sold out.

Chef Lídia Brás, born in Trás-os-Montes, in the Northeast, is in Vila Nova de Gaia who heads the kitchen of the Stramuntana project (Transmontana in the Mirandese language).

In his work, he preserves the authenticity, seasonality and characteristics of Portuguese cuisine, sometimes with a personal touch of innovation.

A cook by vocation, she maintains an intrinsic relationship with Trás-os-Montes and with the ways and customs of its roots, and it is where she investigates ancestral Trás-os-Montes recipes, linked mainly to traditions of popular festivals, country foods and specific rituals of that region.
