Psychologist Sónia Coelho Nunes is the next guest on the section “Let's clear up doubts”, which will take place at the Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen Municipal Library in Quarteira, on April 28, at 21 pm, with the theme “Conflict Management”.
The session will present strategies to manage conflicts and enter into negotiation processes, which “could be an advantage in relieving everyday stress and promoting well-being and psychological health. Taking care of mental health is everyone's mission», says the Câmara de Loulé.
Sónia Coelho Nunes is a clinical psychologist, specializing in Clinical and Health Psychology, Community Psychology and Early Intervention by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists. She is a senior health technician, health assistant, at ARS Algarve, ACES Algarve I Central, URAP – Loulé Health Centre.
The professional started working in Primary Health Care in 2003, at the Olhão Health Center, and, since 2013, at the Loulé Health Center, developing activity in the area of pregnancy and parenting, early childhood intervention, child and youth mental health , in a model of transdisciplinary and community intervention with children, families and community structures, children and young people at risk, violence in adults and school health.
From 2012 to 2018, she served as subcommissioner for health in the Regional Subcommittee of the National System of Early Childhood Intervention in the Algarve and as regional coordinator of the Child Mental Health Support Groups – GASMI of ARS Algarve, IP;
He was a member of the organizing committee of the project for the prevention and promotion of child and youth mental health “A Semana do Bebé de Olhão”, recognized by UNICEF as a good practice, and developed other projects such as “Nascer e Crescer com + Saúde” which received a Missão Sorriso – Continente award, “Ler + da Saúde”, “Play Health Center”, among others.
Sónia Nunes is also supervisor of curricular internships for the degree in Clinical and Health Psychology, is on the board of the association Centro Apoio à Criança de Quarteira and SigmaMente.
