Four greenhouses equipped with lights and cooling systems for cannabis production plants were seized by the Núcleo de Investigação Criminal (NIC) of the GNR in Albufeira, on Monday, April 17, in Albufeira, in an operation that also led to the arrest of a 68-year-old man for drug trafficking.
The operation, which culminated in an investigation into drug trafficking, also led to the seizure of 290 doses of cannabis, 92 cannabis plants, 19 doses of hashish, an ecstasy pill, a digital scale and even 550 euros in cash, the four greenhouses and various packages of chemicals and fertilizers used to treat plants.
The GNR explains that two of the greenhouses were improvised and the rest were «specific for the cultivation of cannabis».
The detainee was present, on the 18th of April, at the Judicial Court of Portimão.
