Algarve Camerata concert “reinaugurates” Estômbar Mother Church

In the same session, the result of the rehabilitation works of the church will be presented.

The result of the restoration work on the Main Church of Estômbar will be presented on the 22nd of April, at 17 pm, with an official ceremony and a concert by the Algarve Camerata, led by maestro João Rocha.

The initiative is part of the International Day for Monuments and Sites 2023.

Founded in 2016, the Algarve Camerata orchestra is made up of professional musicians from the Algarve, or residents of the Algarve.

It is based around a dozen musicians, usually inviting a soloist to each of its concerts.

«Since its debut, it has performed in the main municipalities of the Algarve, with internationally renowned soloists and conductors such as Richard Galliano, Adrien Rodriguez, Gonçalo Pescada, Handel Cocílio, João Cunha, among others, performing a series of emblematic works such as the opera Dido & Aeneas by Purcell, O Glória by Vivaldi, the Four Seasons by Piazzolla and the Four Seasons by Vivaldi», according to the Câmara de Lagoa.

Free access only limited to the capacity of the Igreja Matriz de Estômbar.
