The Smuggling Festival and its pedestrian floating bridge, which allows you to cross the river, on dry feet, between Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana, is back and can be visited until tomorrow, Sunday, March 26th.
Today, Saturday, the bridge can be crossed between 10:30 am and 18:00 pm. Tomorrow, Sunday, the opening hours of the crossing are between 10:30 am and 19:00 pm.
But this is far from being the only attraction of the event, whose program has some news. The visitor is constantly faced with street entertainment, in addition to the shows taking place in different locations in Alcoutim and Sanlúcar.
A producers' market, which combines everything from handicrafts to local products, as well as delicacies such as liqueurs, medronho, sweets and honey, among many others, as well as small taverns, with the typical cuisine of the Northeast Algarve, are other of the mainstays of the Contrabando Festival.
