The 15th Orange Festival takes place from the 7th to the 11th of February, at the Municipal Market of Portimão, «promoting the sale of this tasty and healthy citrus fruit at a special price».
For five days, and in addition to buying oranges from the Algarve, it will also be possible to watch showcookings by DUAL – Qualificação Profissional de Portimão, which will present daily menus inspired by this citrus fruit, while students from the Professional School Gil Eanes will photograph the event.
The event underwent changes in 2021, determined by the constraints imposed by COVID 19, returning this year to the molds of previous editions.
«Under the motto “Orange from the Algarve – there is no healthier fruit”, the initiative is organized by the Horticultural Sector of the Municipal Market, which in this way intends to promote among consumers the beneficial properties provided by the regular consumption of this fruit so typical of the region, while reinforces the invitation to purchase that commercial equipment», says the Portimão Chamber.
