The birth ward in Portimão will be closed from 8:00 am on December 30th until 8:00 am on January 2nd, announced the executive board of the National Health Service.

This information is part of the plan “Birth safely on the SNS” released yesterday, the 26th, by the National Health Service, for the operation of maternity hospitals during the New Year period.

In Beja, the delivery block will also be closed from 8:00 am on December 30th to 8:00 am on January 2nd.

In total, five maternity hospitals will be closed (Portimão, Beja, Caldas da Rainha, Loures and Barreiro). 33 will be operating without constraints.
