AHETA and IEFP discussed the problem of lack of workers in tourism

One of the suggestions left, to combat the difficulty of hiring people, was that companies «start the job offer processes earlier»

The Regional Directorate of the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) had a working meeting, last Monday, December 5th, with members of AHETA – Associação Dos Hotéis e Empreendimentos Turísticos Do Algarve. On the table were issues such as the lack of workers.

On the part of the IEFP, Madalena Feu, regional delegate, and the entire regional and local management team and on the part of AHETA, several members of the governing bodies, in addition to several associates, were present.

«Both on the part of the IEFP and the businessmen and directors of human resources present at the meeting, the great usefulness of this action was clear and the continuation of the organization of this type of meetings was agreed, which intends to bring together the entity responsible for placing workers, in companies, with employers», says AHETA, in a press release.

“The issue of professional training was also addressed, following a survey that AHETA carried out among its members, with a view to surveying training needs, with the IEFP being available to organize training actions, in companies, to improve skills'.
