Cartoons by Vasco Gargalo will be exhibited in Quarteira

The exhibition is part of the program of the 8th edition of the Festival “encontros do DeVIR”

The exhibition “Reflections”, by cartoonist Vasco Gargalo, will be on display from November 10th to December 3rd, at the Praça do Mar Art Gallery, in Quarteira. 

The exhibition is part of the program of the 8th edition of the Festival “encontros do DeVIR”.

«In an edition in which the “DeVIR meetings” are dedicated to the climate crisis and human rights, this exhibition resulted from a selection of drawings, made in recent years on these themes, revealing the cartoonist’s interest and sensitivity for contemporaneity, for the Today's world where climate issues and war are very present reasons», says the Loulé Chamber.

Vasco Gargalo was born in Vila Franca de Xira in 1977. Illustrator and freelance editorial cartoonist, some of his best illustrations can be seen in newspapers and magazines such as “Sábado”, “Jornal I”, “Courier International”, “Groen Asterdammer Magazine ", among others.

A member of the Cartooning for Peace association, he regularly collaborates with the Cartoon Movement and participates in various exhibitions and festivals in Portugal and abroad. He has received several awards since 2005.

The exhibition opens at 18:00 on the 10th and can be visited at the following times: 10:00-13:30 and 14:30-18:00.
