A 42-year-old foreign woman, who was wanted by Interpol for the crime of torture of minors, was arrested this Friday, October 7, by the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), in Faro.
Interpol's red alert had been issued on the 27th of September.
According to the SEF, the alert “provided a six-year prison sentence as the reason for the arrest”.
Present to the judge of the Court of Appeal of Évora, the detention for later extradition of the woman was validated.
